We believe your pet’s health is of utmost importance
Aside from general pet health and wellness care, Dr. PAWS’ veterinarians and certified veterinary technicians provide a range of veterinary services for the longevity and happiness of your pet. When your pet is here, we treat them like our own! View our list of services below:
Comprehensive Healthcare:
We provide complete veterinary services for every stage of your pet’s life, from their first vaccinations to a lifetime of preventative care to keep them happy and healthy. At Dr. PAWS, we emphasize preventive healthcare and client education. Individualized vaccine protocols and parasite prevention are tailored to your pet’s lifestyle. Because pets age faster than people, we recommend annual physical examinations. We also recommend microchipping as a permanent form of identification. We are committed to providing the information and resources necessary to help you make educated decisions about your pet’s healthcare. We want you to understand your pet’s healthcare plan and feel comfortable with the treatment your pet receives. Extended appointment times ensure that all your questions and concerns can be addressed.
Surgery/Dental:
Our surgical suite is equipped with the latest anesthetics and monitoring devices. All animals undergoing surgery are monitored closely throughout their procedure and recovery period. Orthopedic procedures and complicated soft tissue surgeries are referred to a local board-certified veterinary surgeon. Dental services include dental cleanings, tooth extractions, and minor oral surgery. Scheduled surgical procedures are performed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Laboratory Services:
Our in-house laboratory allows us to have the results of many blood, urine, and fecal tests in less than an hour. For specialized testing, we use an outside veterinary laboratory that can often produce results for us in less than 24 hours.
Radiology:
State-of-the-art diagnostic imaging machinery is located on-site and available to doctors at all times. Digital images are obtained within seconds. Telemedicine consults are also available with a veterinary radiologist.
Therapeutic Laser Treatment:
We are excited to offer this noninvasive and surgery-free method of treatment. Laser therapy reduces pain and inflammation and promotes healing by stimulating tissues, including the skin, muscles, nerves, and bones. A variety of conditions can be treated with laser therapy with no known side effects. Protocols vary for acute, chronic, or post-surgical pain. Ask us if laser therapy may be suitable for your pet.
Pharmacy:
We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products, and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. Pharmacy refills can be called for pick-up or shipped directly to you for a small fee. We also stock a full line of prescription diets from Royal Canin and Hill’s.
Referral Network:
We maintain a close rapport with specialists locally and at the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell University. Should your pet ever require services or diagnostics beyond our capabilities here, we can help arrange a referral to a specialist.
